There is only a hard cap after 50 minutes minutes of play. When reached, finish the current point (including if “between points” and preparing to pull): if one team is ahead, they win; if tied, play one last point.
Endzone to opposite endzone cross-gender completions are worth two (2) points.
Callahan goals (the defense catching in the opponent’s endzone) are worth two (2) points.
Stall count is to 8.
Mirror pull after halftime cap. Halftime should only last 3 minutes. One 60 second timeout per half.
Pulls do not need to be inverted.
Foot blocks are legal but any kicking of sand into the face is an automatic uncontested foul.
The field for 4-on-4 will consist of a 36yd long by 25yd wide central zone, with a 8yd long endzone on each end.
There is no traditional brick mark; instead all out of bounds pulls (in-air or roll-outs) are either put in at the place where they went out or centered at mid-field.
The gender ratio is 2:2. Ideally pullers of both gender-match alternate pulling duties.
For everyone’s safety, footwear other than booties or sand socks is prohibited; if you require footwear for medical reasons please alert all opponents before starting your game.
We’re going to try out an experimental field size! Miss 5v5 hucks but always wondered why 4v4 fields were so wide? Take a look, try it out, give us feedback:
