You must be/become a member of Ultimate Central / Top Score to register for LeiOut 2023. It’s free to log in or create a new account, simply use the “Sign In” button on the top right corner of our registration page.

When registering for LeiOut 2023, please be aware of what you’re registering for:

  • If you’re a team captain or organizer, select “Register a Team” and then let your players know the team name and password so they can log in and get everything taken care of personally.
  • If you’ve been invited to play on a team, select “Register Yourself,” select “On an existing team,” then choose your team and put in the password your captain/organizer provides.
  • If you don’t have a team or are coming to spectate and/or party, select “Register Yourself,” then “As an individual or small group” and then “Spectator” or “Spectator & Party Access”. It will ask if the spectator is affiliated with a team; if you provide us with the team name, we’ll link you (online) to the corresponding team closer to the event.

Advice for creating teams:

  • For all 4v4 divisions we recommend 12 players to have optimal fun and compete both days, but of course the more the merrier. We also recommend keeping your gender divide within 2 as all tournament play is with equal gender ratios (2 male-matching and 2 female-matching players per point).
  • For Maui, the only 5v5 division, there is an 18 player cap; gender ratio must be within two.

Divisions

All LeiOut divisions play mixed Ultimate!

Maui (Competitive) – This division plays 5v5 this year; and WFDF’s Beach Ultimate rules are the default, including WFDF’s mixed gender ratio Rule A. If desired, both captains can agree to the two point and pulling rules used in all other LeiOut divisions. There is an 18 player roster maximum and the gender split must be within 2 (ex- 10 FMP*:8 MMP*).

O’ahu (Relaxed/fun but club level) – The most competitive 4v4 LeiOut 2023 division; this division attracts players who like to compete at the highest level, but also like to have a great time. No roster caps, but we encourage keeping your gender split within 2.

Kaua’i (Relaxed/fun, mid level) – This division is our most popular! It attracts pickup, league, and club players who want to have a blast but aren’t sure how good their squad will be, how hard their squad will party, OR understand there is a 50/50 shot they conquer the party and/or the party will conquer them. No roster caps, but we encourage keeping your gender split within 2.

Moloka’i (Relaxed/fun, lower level) – Our second most popular division! This division attracts pickup and league players, and it is a fantastic place for beginners to be introduced to the Ultimate community. No roster caps, but we encourage keeping your gender split within 2.

Lāna’i (Spirit Division, mostly here to party) – We love our spirit focused teams! While time, rules, and the score may be loose constructs in the Lāna’i Division, fun and shenanigans are core tenants. Great for beginners and experienced partiers alike. No roster caps, but we encourage keeping your gender split within 2.

Niʻihau (Grand Master Division) – New this year! After 21 years of LeiOut, it’s time to put the band back together again (or combine bands?) and play 4v4 mixed against other GM players from around the world. No roster caps, but we encourage keeping your gender split within 2.

  • Female players who are 37 years old or older (born 1986 or before)
  • Males players who are 40 years old or older (born 1983 or before)
  • Players must be the minimum age for their division on December 31, 2023.

Kahoʻolawe (Great Grand Master Division) – New this year! After 21 years of LeiOut, it’s time to put the band back together again (or combine bands?) and play 4v4 mixed against other GGM players from around the world. No roster caps, but we encourage keeping your gender split within 2.

  • Female players who are 45 years old or older (born 1978 or before)
  • Males players who are 48 years old or older (born 1975 or before)
  • Players must be the minimum age for their division on December 31, 2023.

* FMP = Female Matching Player(s); MMP = Male Matching Player(s)

Spectator & Party Access – This free agent division is for folks who are 21+ and want to hang with a team, float around the event either day, and/or just hang at the LeiOut parties. If all waivers and proof of vaccination are completed by December 14th, this event pass will include a free beverage at the party tent. If a registrant in this division would like to be attached to a team (so they can see the team schedule and such), please list the team name in response to the appropriate question during registration.

Spectator Only (Kids, Significant Others, Spouses, etc) – This free agent division is for folks who want to hang with a team and/or float around the event either day but do not want access to the party tent.
